TESTIMONIES FOR LIFE's HEALING CHOICE's

Come alive in small groups!

We had such an excellent service that kicked off our Life's Healing Choices campaign Saturday January 9th 2010.  Gabby, Eddie & Lola gave a brief testimony prior to the service outlining three rudimentary questions.

  1. How long have you been worshiping the Lord with Praise Chapel?

  2. What do you expect the church to gain from the LHC campaign?

  3. What are you expecting from LHC.

Gabby:

  1. I have been a member of this church for 10 years.

  2. I am expecting the Lord to heal and restore family members that are linked with the members of this church.

  3. That the teachings would assist in my healing and show me how to move forward beyond hurt and disappointments and teach other how to do the same.

I pray that God would show the world the change in my life and that other would want what they see in me.

Eddie

  1. I have called Praise Chapel home for 20 years now.  My wife Lola and I starting worshiping here about three months after Pastor’s Jim and Marie came to the High Desert.
  2. It is my sincere hope that the Lord will strengthen everybody participating in this 8-week study and marriages will be fortified.
  3. I expect Life’s Healing Choice to be a resource for healing the deep issues the Lord wants us to be free from.

Lola

  1. My husband Eddie and I have been serving the Lord at Praise Chapel for 20 years.  I am glad God has placed me into this church of empowerment.

  2. My expectation is that the congregation to take advantage of this teaching and to use it in their everyday life in order to gain a better perspective of what LHC has to offer.

  3. I expect that this teaching will challenge me more, and that I'll  have better understanding and be fruitful with everything God has for me.

January 16, 2010.  Eric and Ginnie Budet gave a brief testimony of their experience of the first week at the small group meeting.

I just wanted to share a little bit about how Life's Healing Choices small groups made me feel.  I felt liberated last night and sad at the same time, sad because its only 8 weeks long.  I was really excited to see everyone and the excitement on their faces.  I feel that the importance of these small groups is simple - sharing.  I personally share very easily when I am in a safe environment.  So I really hope that EVERYONE in ALL the small groups will learn to share as I have.  I feel I have started this beautiful journey because I truly believe it will change my life.                                                                        ~Ginnie M. Budet~

My first Life's Healing Choices was powerful to me.  I have prayed a lot to the Lord for help with getting over problems that have been reoccurring issues and I truly believe this is an answer to that prayer.  Being able to talk in a friendly forum about my hurts hang ups and habits with other brother's gives the perfect forum to be able to open up about any issues of struggle.  I am hoping that the humility of speaking with others about my struggles will help me to have a closer relationship with God and build a foundation with other men in my church.  This was only the first meeting and already I can feel bonds growing in our congregation that could be ever lasting.  I am looking forward to the rest of the Life's Healing Choices and after continuing with small group meetings and activities to keep the brothers and sisters in church a tight nit family.                                                                                                                          ~ Eric Budet~

January 23, 2010.  Miguel and Rosemary Avalos commented on their experience at Praise Chapel and the motivating factors that encouraged them to participate in the LHC small group meeting!

Rosemary

Our family has worshiped at Praise Chapel Victorville for five years.  Experiencing the ups and downs of life.  Never having doubts of about being involved in Church.  I am excited about LHC.  Although, I was hesitant to participate, I am grateful of the opportunity to release my hurts, hang-ups and habits.  I am expecting to relate my experiences to the younger persons participating in our small group.   The first two lessons have rekindled a burning desire to serve God as my First Love.  I pray that small groups continue beyond LHC.

Miguel

I am thankful for the pastor's involvement in our lives.  I too was hesitant to commit and participate in LHC's small group studies due to my busy work schedule.  Even so,  I felt guided by the Lord to move forward despite my schedule.  In the small group, I  have been able to open up and admit that I have hurts, hang-ups and habits that hinder me.  I am confident that God is developing His character within me.  I freely admit that LHC small groups are an effective way to grow in the things of the Lord.

Rica Magana:

I have been with Praise Chapel Victorville for 17 Years.  What I can say about getting together with LHC small groups.  Is that it has been awesome experiencing the openness.  We don't have to put on a game face to be open.  We all have to share honestly!  It is a humbling atmosphere because you must be vulnerable to be ministered to.  In order to let God use us in our life, we need to be honest with one another.

Brother Raymond pictured with Sister Lillian:

From an infant to an adult, I've grown up with Praise Chapel.  It's really exciting being part of a small group that is focusing on LHC's.  Especially when you realize that we aren't God.  We learn that we have things bottled up.  We all have things in common with each other too!

God CAN and WILL change your life if you give him the opportunity!  If you are ready, come check us out on Tuesday night.  Let us introduce you to our Life's Healing Choices small groups getting together Friday nights.  Followed up with the corresponding sermon the following Saturday night.
