Pastors Jim & Marie became the Pastor's of Praise Chapel Global Outreach Ministries in Hesperia, California in March 1991, after their return from serving as missionaries for three years in Liverpool, England. Praise Chapel was a small storefront church at the time, shared by a Karate Studio next door. As the church grew God opened doors to move into the city of Victorville in 1994. We labored to fulfill the vision of winning people to Christ, building disciples and sending workers into the harvest field. In the latter part of 1998 through relationships built in England, where our Pastors were missionaries, we began the work of Global Outreach Ministries in St. Petersburg, Russia. Our church took on the support of missionaries from Manchester, England who were working there pioneering a church. After one year we helped financially to start a second church in St. Petersburg, with a young couple from that church. Our pastor made several trips into Russia leading revival meetings and leadership training. On one of the trips a team of six went along with our pastor doing street evangelism and sharing the gospel in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia.
We have seen God open doors for world evangelism in Europe, Africa, Mexico, Asia, South America and now currently in India, Pakistan, and Iraq. Our church has been involved in these many nations not only through financial support but also through leadership and discipleship training, preaching several conferences and imparting vision into pastors who will inturn impart into the people of their nations. In a prophetic word that our church was given we were called a Philidelphia Church. Revelation 3:8 (NLT) "I know the things you do and I have opened a door for you that no one can shut. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me." We believe that large numbers are not what is required to touch the world for God, just people who are willing with large hearts. In 2001, Tom and Velda Morris who were leaders in our church were planted in Palmdale, Ca to start a new church and continue to labor to this day.
We look forward to all that God has called us to do. The mission of our church is to bring glory to God by winning the lost, building disciples, and sending workers to further the cause of Christ throughout the world until His glorious return to establish His kingdom on earth.
